Training Philosophy
Emily Crane is a native of Troy, MO and attended Troy Buchanan High School. Crane went on to study fine arts with an emphasis in graphic design while being a 4 year collegiate standout at the University of Missouri.
Crane left an enduring mark on the program with her exceptions play on the field, a standout outfielder, she excelled during her 4 years as a Tiger. Crane earned numerous accolades and awards-in her Senior season she was selected 1st team all-SEC, SEC all Defensive Team, 1st Team NFCA All-American, and 1st time CoSIDA Academic All-American finishing her collegiate career with a 3.6 GPA.
Emily showcased her skill hitting .404, belting 17 Home Runs, drove in 61 RBI’s, and stole 25 bases in a remarkable senior campaign! That performance solidified her as one of the best players ever to don the Tigers uniform in the history of the program. Her 4 year consistency left her name all over the Mizzou Softball record books. She still holds many records today including a career batting mark of .383 earning her 2nd place in the all time record books for an individual career!
After Mizzou, Crane was drafted 7th overall and played for the Chicago Bandits, Scrap Yard Dawgs, and Athletes Unlimited in the National Pro Fastpitch league.
After her playing career Crane jumped into the coaching side working with the highly regarded Larissa Anderson at Mizzou, in 2019 she joined Courtney Conley as the lead assistant coach at Maryville University Saint’s in St. Louis, MO. She was with the Saints for 3 seasons before moving into her current role here.
Aside from her Athletic pursuits, Crane is an elementary art teacher, graphic designer, animal lover, and a devoted family member. She finds inspiration in her family-especially her nephews! and is passionate about Art/Design as well. Crane’s dedication to her sport and academics is evident through her multiple academic and athletic honors and achievements.
