Training Philosophy
Huff brings a high-intensity mindset to the program, emphasizing the importance of doing the little things right.
As a varsity head coach, he takes an aggressive offensive approach rooted in fundamentals, focusing on solid contact and driving the ball on a line while emphasizing hard contact.
Huff teaches hitters how to develop a strong approach at the plate, including what to look for in the box. Players working with him will experience a variety of drills designed to stay closed, attack the baseball from a position of power, and drive through the zone.
These drills emphasize building a repeatable swing, creating solid connection, and maximizing a consistent approach at the plate.
A former catcher himself, Huff has a passion for working with catchers and helping them reach the next level. He focuses on the finer details of the position, including pitch calling, framing, and pop time, giving them the tools needed to stand out as a leader behind the plate.
