Emily Crane is a native of Troy, MO and attended Troy Buchanan High School. She went on to study fine arts with an emphasis in graphic design while becoming a 4-year collegiate standout at the University of Missouri.
Crane made a lasting impact on the program as a standout outfielder, excelling throughout her four years as a Tiger. In her senior season, she earned numerous accolades including 1st Team All-SEC, SEC All-Defensive Team, 1st Team NFCA All-American, and CoSIDA Academic All-American, finishing her collegiate career with a 3.6 GPA.
Emily delivered an outstanding senior campaign, hitting .404 with 17 home runs, 61 RBIs, and 25 stolen bases. Her performance solidified her as one of the best players in program history. She still holds multiple records, including a career batting average of .383, ranking second all-time in Mizzou Softball history.
After Mizzou, Crane was drafted 7th overall and played for the Chicago Bandits, Scrap Yard Dawgs, and Athletes Unlimited in the National Pro Fastpitch league.
Following her playing career, Crane transitioned into coaching, working under Larissa Anderson at Mizzou. In 2019, she joined Maryville University in St. Louis, MO as the lead assistant coach under Courtney Conley, where she spent three seasons before moving into her current role.
Outside of athletics, Crane is an elementary art teacher, graphic designer, and passionate advocate for creativity and family. She draws inspiration from her family, especially her nephews, and remains dedicated to both academic and athletic excellence.
Emily looks forward to working with athletes to maximize their development and help them become complete players on and off the field.
